How LRA works

Practice does not sit beside our curriculum. It creates it.

Building for the profession

From teaching standards to defining professional capability.

Reporting has standards for what organisations should disclose. What it has lacked is a common framework for what the people producing those disclosures should actually be able to do.

That is the role of the Sustainability Reporting Competency Framework (SRCF) — an LRA initiative for the global community of professionals and organisations in sustainability reporting. It gives the profession a shared language of competence: structuring the knowledge, judgement and applied capabilities behind professional sustainability reporting, worldwide.

Dr. Ross Kurinko

Ross has spent 15+ years building ESG reporting systems in real corporate environments — from establishing disclosure frameworks for one of Europe's largest railway companies to advising FTSE 100 and Fortune Global 500 organisations on materiality, governance and assurance-ready reporting.

His teaching is anchored in that practice. As lead mentor, Ross has personally guided hundreds of professionals through intensive, feedback-driven learning journeys, while LRA programmes have trained more than 9,600 professionals worldwide. His ongoing work with frameworks and organisations such as GRI, S&P Global, Moody's, Sustainalytics and CDP keeps current market practice flowing into the curriculum.

Ross is an official GRI and ISSB-IFRS S1 & S2 Certified Global Trainer. He holds a PhD and a diploma from the University of Cambridge, is an EBRD-qualified CSR consultant, and has authored books for UN agencies alongside academic work with Cambridge and Harvard.

LRA is founder-led and practitioner-delivered. Ross shapes the methodology and leads flagship mentoring routes, while senior ESG practitioners, mentors and support professionals deliver the learning experience across formats.
