Real practice forms our programmes
Every programme is built on real consulting engagements — ESG reporting developed under real business conditions: competing priorities, imperfect data, assurance expectations and evolving stakeholder demands.
London Reporting Academy is a practice-led organisation for sustainability reporting and ESG disclosure. We help professionals and teams turn complex sustainability reporting standards into report-ready disclosures — through expert-built curricula, real reporting practice, the AI-powered LRA Study Studio and human guidance across every route.
Ross has spent 15+ years building ESG reporting systems in real corporate environments — from establishing disclosure frameworks for one of Europe's largest railway companies to advising FTSE 100 and Fortune Global 500 organisations on materiality, governance and assurance-ready reporting.
His teaching is anchored in this practice. Through consulting and advisory work he has supported dozens of organisations in building ESG governance and disclosure systems that operate under real business pressure — competing priorities, imperfect data, internal resistance, assurance expectations, and evolving stakeholder demands.
As a lead mentor, Ross has personally guided hundreds of professionals through intensive, feedback-driven learning journeys, and his programmes have equipped 9,600+ graduates worldwide with practical ESG reporting capability. His long-standing engagement with organisations and frameworks such as GRI, S&P Global, Moody's, Sustainalytics and CDP helps bring current market practice into LRA's curriculum.
Ross serves as an official GRI Certified Global Trainer, holds a PhD and a diploma from the University of Cambridge, and is a qualified CSR consultant under the EBRD Business Advisory Services Programme. He has authored several books for UN agencies and contributed to academic work with Cambridge and Harvard.
LRA is founder-led and practitioner-delivered. Ross shapes the methodology and leads flagship mentoring routes, while senior ESG practitioners, mentors and support professionals deliver the learning experience across formats.
Every programme we deliver originates from real consulting engagements where ESG disclosure was built under real business conditions.
London Reporting Academy grew out of practical reporting work, not abstract training theory. Every programme is built on real consulting engagements where ESG reporting was developed under real business conditions — competing priorities, imperfect data, internal resistance, assurance expectations, evolving stakeholder demands.
This is why our learning experience is different. It isn't about what the standard says in isolation — it is about how to apply leading frameworks in real organisations, turning requirements into a working reporting process, governance routines and credible disclosures.
We don't sell tiers. Every LRA graduate works toward the same professional outcome — the ability to prepare, review and defend real sustainability disclosures at the level their role, organisation and reporting context require.
“We don't teach basic or advanced — for any LRA standard. We teach people to become report-ready, at the level their role, organisation and reporting context require.”
Every LRA route is built on the same expert curriculum, the same Study Studio and the same report-ready outcome. What changes is the rhythm of learning and the level of live human guidance.
Flexible learning through the Study Studio, with expert support via the platform.
Studio-first learning with scheduled live online sessions and peer progression.
Private mentor support and line-by-line review for your reporting context — subject to mentor availability.
Bespoke training for teams, delivered online, on-site or hybrid.
Six principles that underpin every programme we deliver.
Every programme is built on real consulting engagements — ESG reporting developed under real business conditions: competing priorities, imperfect data, assurance expectations and evolving stakeholder demands.
We teach GRI, IFRS S1 & S2, ESRS/CSRD, SASB and TCFD with precision — not as abstract documents, but as operating methodologies with practical judgment and sequencing for real implementation.
Our programmes are delivered by professionals who implement ESG reporting — not academic lecturers. They have built reporting systems, supported materiality work, designed data processes, and worked through real implementation challenges.
Guided Flex combines structured materials, scenario-based tests, examples and practical templates with access to experienced ESG professionals through the platform — typically within one business day.
AI gives you speed and continuity. The human layer calibrates direction, spots learning patterns, and brings wider professional perspective when judgment matters.
Learning journeys fit real life. Flexible timelines and extended access let you progress without disrupting work. Content evolves continuously from live consulting work — standards interpretation, assurance expectations, regulatory shifts and emerging best practice all flow back into the curriculum.
Our mentors work where reporting decisions are actually made: inside corporate reporting cycles, advisory projects, materiality assessments, data collection processes, assurance preparation and stakeholder communication.
